... That Icon stands tall above the fruited plains and sown feilds of this Nebraska-land. I often reflect on the biblical parable. It's not only good to sow seeds, it is good to stand tall and take in an accounting of all you've done so far, where you are now and where you hope to finish up when the day is done. 'Religious individual' or not, following correct principles just naturally seems to add up to extra yeilds and enough extra yeilds = a bumber crop.

I was called upon at church once to give provide some inspirational talk or lesson in each of the 3 sessions. It was a powerful lesson for me as the spirit guided and directed me I saw that "lessons with the lesson" were being delivered to untold number of participants (including myself). All who were faithful in coming to church that morning were spiritually feed. Many left after the initial hour. They did not glean the blessings of the deeper study into gospel doctrine that followed. Still more departed after the 2 hour and so we had in that final, 'last hour,' of worship about 1/2 the originaal congregation in attendance. These individuals dedicated to enduring to the end, to keeping the Sabbath day holy and the spirit did not disappoint. It was my great pleasure to administer an exercise in brotherly love and sisterhood which surprised and touched all hearts left there in attendance... not the least of which was mine for I saw in that moment a mystery unraveled further more for mine own examination. How it is that the Lord can bless us and keep us and work mighty things through us, if we are but diligent, faithful, willing and there for HIM! Seeking after Him and all He may have to give unto us... until the very end! Amen, indeed, Opie! Amen, indeed!
