Mom's Mom

My maternal Grandmother, a youthful photo of her that I've always loved.
Mom That's Nuts, mentioned that she had photos of her Grandmother. I challenged her to post 'em with the always daring, "I'll show mine, if you show yours" taunt. Mom That's Nuts did just that and so here you go "MOM". I'm living up to my dare! :P

Old photos are fun. Also so strange, the way material objects are so much more stable and long lasting than human beings.

Sometimes you see an old photo with, I don't know, a table or bowl that's still in service. But the people gathered around the table are radically changed, and some have passed.

For a long while a camp at a beach in Maine remained in my family, and many old objects there - and the camp itself - had been purchased or brought there by our great grandmother. She died when the oldest of my cousins was an infant, so none of us knew her, but it added an element of hominess that we were actually stll using mixing bowls that probably should have been on Antiques Road Show and sleeping under quilts she'd made.
